a step-by-step guide to setting up your custom icon for any app on your ios14 updated iphones.
these are *disclaimers that you might want to consider before actually purchasing any of the icon sets:
1. the app will not swiftly load up because of the shortcut app transition but there is a way you can reduce that by going to settings > accessibility > motion > turn on reduce motion.
2. there will not be any notification badges on shortcut apps
3. each icon needs to be manually set with the following steps below repeated over again.
step 1: have your icons ready
download your icon pack into your phone and save it into your iphone ‘files’ app. If you haven’t already gotten them, click here for purchase.

step 2: open up the shortcuts app
the app should be pre installed on all new ios 14 update / iPhone 12 range. If not you can get it for free on the app store.

step 3: add a new shortcut
tap the icon at the top right hand corner of your screen.

step 4: add action
tap on the button.

step 5: select the scripting option

step 6: open app

step 7: choose the app and tap
tap on the highlighted ‘choose’ and pick the app you want to create a shortcut of. then tap on the three-dot icon at the top right hand corner of the screen.

step 8: add to home screen
give your shortcut a name or not then tap ‘add to home screen’
note: if you do not want the app name to appear on the home screen, just type in ‘space’ and continue to ‘add to home screen’
step 9: tap the icon

step 10: choose icon photo
depending on where your downloaded icons are placed, select that option. in this case it is in ‘file’
